The Parish Council, being aware of the loss of the regular Route 41 Bedford Road bus service and its considerable adverse impact on residents, continues to make representations with West Northants Council, Stagecoach, and our local MP seeking better provision.
The council is also aware that the loss of this service creates more reliance on the Village Hopper service, unfortunately often leading to no available seats by the time it reaches our village.
It has always been council policy to support and promote alternative transport services and at its last meeting was pleased to welcome representatives from Ability who are able to offer regular bus service to town on Tuesday Thursday and Friday, as well as numerous outings to dedicated venues and attractions.
The scheme is membership based with a one-of administration fee of just £10 for the free Bronze service and an optional Silver or Gold service which includes pick up from your home.
